Objectives of the N.C.A.A.
  • Work towards the unification of the associations' activities.
  • Facilitate communication and exchanges between associations;
  • Facilitate the participation of activists in the various campaigns;
  • Coordinating the agendas of the associations;
  • Identify the contact persons responsible for the campaigns on the agenda;
  • Create links and synergies between the associations' senior managers and activists;
  • Improving the visibility, clarity and media coverage of actions among the general public;
  • Having a greater impact on political and economic decision-makers through the scale and frequency of mobilisations;
  • Inform civil society more about the reality and the harm caused by animal exploitation;
  • Exerting pressure on the courts and tribunals in the field of animal law and the right to freedom of expression and association;
  • Support the federal legislator and regional legislators in their efforts to provide greater protection for non-human animals and in the necessary evolution towards the non-human personification of sentient animals;
  • Generate vocations among the civilian population following the increased visibility of the results of the actions taken by anti-speciesist associations
  • Etc...

Initially, the League will contact the people in charge of the various anti-speciesist associations in Belgium to invite them to join the Council.

The Council will organise a meeting every three months with those who have agreed to join it.

The objectives of the CNA are simple:

  • Create links and facilitate communication between associations;
  • Coordinate a shared schedule of the respective action campaigns;
  • Enable the identification of campaign managers within each association;
  • Facilitate exchanges and member participation in the various campaigns;
  • Work on the development of common annual strategies and objectives to advance animal rights in the political, legal and societal spheres;
  • Sharing the resources and human and material resources of the various associations;
  • Publish the campaigns of member associations on their FB page.
